6-23-13 Auto Accident: At 1829Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to the Boro of New Berlin at the intersection of Market and Vine St for a reported auto accident. At 1833Hrs E4-1, A4-1, and ATK4-1 responded and arrived on scene to find 2 vehicles one on its roof with minor injury. Crews secured vehicles and controlled fluids and returned to service. 6-3-13 Auto Accident: At 1707Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to Buffalo Twp, New Berlin Mtn Rd and Rusty Run Ln intersection for a reported auto accident w/ unknown injuries. At 1711Hrs E4-1 responded w/4 and arrived on the scene to find one vehicle into a pole with wires involved. Due to the possibility of the wires being live and the patient not being injured, Co.3 and Co.4 stoodby until the power was shut off to the wires before securing the vehicle and assisting the patient out of the vehicle. Crews remained on scene for approximately 1 hour before returning to service. Total Co.4 members: 11
5-31-13 Building Fire: At 1220 Hrs Co.4 was dispatched as part of a second alarm assignment to Buffalo Twp on Buffalo Rd at Playworld for a building fire. At 1228Hrs E4-1 responded w/4 and arrived on scene to find a machine fire that was extinguished and orders were to assist Co.2 with ventilation. Crew assisted for approx. 40 min before returning to service.
5-27-13 the New Berlin Fire Company participated in the New Berlin Memorial Day Parade. Engine, Attack, and Ambulance along with 10 members and 2 fire police attended the parade on a beautiful day and we would like to take the time to thank all military past present and future who risked and gave it all so we could do what we do as a small token of appreciation. 5-25-13 House Fire: At 2003Hrs, just after being cancelled from the smoke in a structure in Kreamer, Co.4 was dispatched to the Boro of Freeburg for a working house fire. E4-1 arrived on scene of the former Freeburg Auction Center for a working building fire and went to work on extensive overhaul. The Engine crew assisted Freeburg Fire Co. as well as many other Fire Companies until returning to service at around midnight.
5-25-13 Smoke In A Structure: At 1948 Hrs, Co.4 was dispatched to Snyder County Middlecreek Twp on Freeburg Rd for a reported smoke in a structure. At 1952Hrs, E4-1 responded w/8 and just prior to arriving on scene was placed in service due to a small stove fire. Total Co.4 members:10
5-20-13 Auto Accident: At 1243Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to the New Berlin Boro at the intersection of Market and Walnut St for an auto accident. Just prior to responding Chief 401 arrived on scene and placed the box in service due to no injury. Ems went to scene to obtain a refusal and cleared a short time later. Total Co.4 members:6
5-18-13 Auto Accident: At 1247Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to Limestone Twp on the New Berlin Mtn Rd for a reported auto accident with injury. At 1252 Hrs, E41 responded w/3 and arrived on scene to find one vehicle off the road into a tree. The Engine crew secured the vehicle and packaged the patient for transport. MICU14 transported the patient and the Engine was available on scene before returning to the station. Total Co.4 members:5
5-5-13 Vehicle Fire: At 1051Hrs while members of the Fire Company were at a training, Co.4 was dispatched to Limestone Twp on SR304 in the area of Wildwood Rd for a reported Motorcycle on fire. At 1100Hrs, Attack 4-1 responded and arrived on scene to find a motorcycle on fire. The crew quickly extinguished the fire and a short time later was placed in service. Due to having most of our available manpower commited at a class, todays call was handled by some of our younger members of the Company so congrats to those who handled the call. 5-1-13 Building Fire: At 1904Hrs Co4 was dispatched to Snyder County Middlecreek Twp at Bingamans Lumber for a reported building fire. At 1909Hrs E4-1 responded w/7 and arrived on scene and went to work assisting with extinguishment and overhaul. The fire was contained to a ventilation system that removes the sawdust from the building into sawdust bins. The engine crew remained on scene for approx. 3 hours before returning available. 4-20-13 Auto Accident: At 1754Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to Snyder County Jackson Twp on Route 204 near Buchers Used Cars for an auto accident with rollover. At 1756Hrs E4-1 and A4-1 responded and arrived on scene to find a one vehicle MVA that rolled over multiple times. Fortunately for the driver there was no injury so the Engine crew secured the vehicle and was released by command. At 1813Hrs the box was in service. Total Co.4 members: 9
4-15-13 Barn Fire: At 1256Hrs Co.4 was dispatched as mutual aid to the Boro of Mifflinburg to the rear of the 400 Block of Thompson St for a reported Barn Fire. At 1302Hrs E4-1 responded w/3 and arrived on scene and assisted Mifflinburg Hose Company with overhaul. At 1347Hrs Co.4 was placed in service. Great stop by MHC#3 today! Total Co.4 members: 3
4-8-13 Wildfire: At 1510 Hrs, Co.4 was dispatched to Snyder County Jackson Twp on the New Berlin Hwy for a reported Wildfire. Just prior to responding SC911 placed Co.4 in service due to low budget brush fire.
3-25-13 House Fire: At 2304Hrs, Co.4 was dispatched as mutual aid to Lewis Twp on Penns Creek Rd for a reported house fire. At 2309Hrs E4-1 responded w/5 and while enroute orders from command were to establish a fill site. 3-10-13 Junk Yard Fire: At 1839Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to Snyder County Penn Twp on Fetter Rd for a reported second alarm junk yard fire. 2/18/13 Barn Fire: At 2327Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to Limestone Twp on Route 304 for a reported barn fire. At 2331Hrs, E4-1 responded w/7 and arrived on scene to find a fully involved building fire starting to extend to the barn. Multiple hand lines were immediately in place trying to protect the barn. A short time later, the barn was fully involved. Multiple units from multiple departments responded and assisted with extinguishment/exposure protection/ and overhaul. The box was placed in service at 0615Hrs. 2-11-13 Silo Fire: At 0707Hrs Co.4 was dispatched to Snyder County Middlecreek Twp at Wode Mode for a reported Silo Fire. At 0726Hrs E4-1 responded w/4 and orders were given to stage at the fill site at the creek with SC E5-1. E4-1 staged at the fill site for 3 hours before being placed in service.
